Cancer is Personal to Us - The H Foundation & Goombay Bash
Cancer does not discriminate…it affects 1 in 3 people. While this disease has impacted each of us differently, we at the H Foundation are united by the common goal of raising funds for cancer research.
Our foundation started out as simply a few friends with entrepreneurial spirit that decided that we could make a difference. We host our largest fund raising event called the Goombay Bash under the disguise of a casual Caribbean-style party. In ten years, we have raised over $3.5 Million for Cancer Research, including over $575,000 in 2010 alone!!!
Since the H Foundation is 100% volunteer organization, all proceeds raised go directly to the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University meaning each dollar raised goes directly to finding a cure.
