Meet Jim and Karen Peterik, Our Goombay Bash 2023 Honorary Chairs!

We are honored to welcome Jim and Karen Peterik as our 21st Annual Goombay Bash Honorary Chairs!

Jim Peterik is a Grammy-Award Winning American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the vocalist and songwriter of the Ides of March, former member of Survivor, and co-writer of many top-ten platinum hits for .38 Special. As the co-writer of the immortal anthem "Eye Of the Tiger" from the 1982 Film "Rocky III", he was recently honored to learn the tune has reached a billion digital streams. Other top ten hits Jim has either written or co-written include "The Search Is Over"and Burning Heart" (Survivor); "Hold On Loosely" and "Caught Up In You (.38 Special), and "Vehicle" and "L.A. Goodbye" for the Ides Of March.

As long-time H Foundation supporters, Jim & Karen have attended many Goombay Bash events in support of cancer research. Like all of our H Foundation supporters, the tag line “Cancer Is Personal” resonates deeply. Both Karen & Jim have personal stories with friends and family that have been touched by cancer, and together they have continued to fight for a cure for this terrible disease.

Over the years The H Foundation has been honored to welcome both Jim & Karen to the event as well as receive the honor of Jim performing Eye of the Tiger on stage to energize and inspire our Goombay community to “look within” and support cancer research.
