Positive Results
Our Results Are Different
In 19 years, we have raised over $9 million, including $742,467 so far in 2019, to help find a cure for cancer. All proceeds benefit Basic Science Cancer Research, supporting the early, novel ideas that then lead to additional grants. The money we have raised has resulted in over $66 million in additional research funding.
The H Foundation Cancer Therapeutics Pipeline
In partnership with the Basic Science Research Division of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, our funding has established The H Foundation Cancer Therapeutics Pipeline, seeding the discovery of new cancer drugs and early stage diagnostics. There are currently 25 compounds in the pipeline, targeting a number of cancers. We are proud to announce three of the compounds are moving into FDA sanctioned clinical trials for leukemia, lymphoma, pancreatic, and other cancers. Together, we are getting closer to finding a cure!
Oncofertility Consortium
One of the most exciting successes of the Cancer Center’s basic science research is in the area of emerging science of Oncofertillity. This new research will create an interdisciplinary team of biomedical and social scientists, oncologists, pediatricians, social works and medical ethicists to help women preserve their fertility while being treated for cancer.
